    On 11th May The Bay Tree Hotel will be hosted an intimate talk with graphic design duo MinaLima on Saturday 11th May at 3pm This was the first time that the graphic designers of the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films have visited the hotel which features the full collection of limited edition art prints from the Graphic Art from the Harry Potter films.  Taking place at 3pm, the “In conversation with MinaLima” session provided an opportunity to hear first hand about the inspiration behind such iconic film props as The Marauders Map and The Daily Prophet.     The Bay Tree Hotel is a dog friendly hotel. You pet will be greeted by a friendly playmate in the shape of Ben. This post is all about Ben, The Bay Tree’s hardest working dog. In 2018 we had quite a lot of snow. Ben was keen to get out there and explore this strange white cold stuff. The Bay Tree Hotel is situated right opposed the beach.     Our new Chef, Keith Dunstane, who has worked at both the Sands Hotel and Crescent Victoria Hotel in Margate will be cooking for us from Sunday 11 February To celebrate, this Sunday 11 February we are reducing our Sunday Lunch menu, to £16 for 2 course (usually £20) and £20 for 3 courses (usually £24) We will be serving lunch from 1230pm until late Why not join us for a drink in our library bar before or relax in our sea-view lounge before enjoying our Sunday roasts.     The Bay Tree Broadstairs is currently closed for a major refurbishment and will re-open in May 2017 We are still reachable on 01843 862502 and enquiries@baytreebroadstairs.co.uk A gentle reminder of our spectacular views over Stone Bay, just a few minutes from the centre of Broadstairs!     Margate RNLI Inshore Lifeboat Anniversary

      The RNLI in 1967 Fifty years ago this week Margate’s new RNLI inshore lifeboat carried out its first service call. The arrival of this new lifeboat was to greatly enhance the local rescue service and save over 500 lives over the next half-century. Margate was an obvious choice to receive what, at the time was, a revolutionary development for the RNLI. The boat supplemented the larger offshore lifeboat and the provision of the two vessels has proved to be the ideal combination to serve the local seafaring community since.     Ramsgate Harbour Lights

    Owners have decorated over 40 boats and lit up the UK’s only Royal Harbour in the festive spirit. A dazzling display can be seen with vessels covered in rows of Christmas lights attached to their masts and flashing ornaments on deck for visitors to enjoy. This year, the public also have the chance to vote for their favourite boat at many of the local businesses surrounding the harbour and beyond. All proceeds will go to Ramsgate RNLI.
