    Bay Tree COVID19 Temporary Closure Blog

    Like many businesses, we recently had to close The Bay Tree temporarily to all guests so that we can play our part in minimising any potential spread of the Corona Virus or, to use it’s proper name COVID 19 Prior to closure we had introduced several additional steps, such as providing hand sanitiser and wipes at our entrances and introducing even more thorough and regular cleaning, including wiping frequently touched surfaces such as door handles, throughout the day Whilst closed we have furloughed our core staff Alistair and Robert are still living on site with the dogs, Ben and Ptolemy Ptolemy in particular is growing quickly, both physically and in…

    Ben and Ptolemy – The Bay Tree Bedlington’s Third Blog

    Ben and Ptolemy are now getting on a lot better and we are now confident taking them both down to the beach. We love letting them off their leads and letting them play with their balls at the same time! We are very fortunate to have a big sandy playground for them right below us!     Ben and Ptolemy: The Bay Tree Bedlingtons’ Second Blog

    Here we are with blog two of the Bay Tree’s Bedlingtons; Ptolemy, on the left, and Ben. They are getting more used to each other…Ptolemy just wants to play! They will sometimes share food, although usually Ptolemy has high protein puppy food! Ptolemy fits in some of our jackets for brief walks along the Esplanade.     Ben and Ptolemy: The Bay Tree Bedlingtons’ First Blog

      Ben joined us on 31st December 2017. He is a rescue dog from Canterbury Dogs Trust and we think was 6 1/2  years old when we got him. All we know is that he was found on the streets of Fife, he was already trained and chipped and he was somewhat underweight and a bit shaggy when we got him. He had barely arrived at Dogs Trust and hadn’t even had his photo taken when we were asked if we wanted to meet him, he took us for a walk in the woods and chose us!
