A town wide week long arts festival encompassing music, dance, drama, visual arts, talks and workshops.
This year the Ramsgate Festival will run concurrently with Ramsgate Week and provide a rich programme of activities taking place all over town, wrapping
around the Royal Temple Yacht Club’s historic sailing regatta. From 23rd till 31st July, Ramsgate will be the place to be!
The theme for this year is ‘On the wind and the waves, the sea brings us life’ and there is a whole story behind that which will slowly unfold and become apparent during the Festival.
The festival starts with free screenings of Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin Opera, by Garsington Opera, as part of their Opera for All programme, on 23rd July. The Festival will include many more surprises and unique happenings.
Sunday 24th July coincides with Ramsgate Carnival.
On Saturday 30th on Main Sands there will be a Giant Whale interactive installation
On Saturday 30th July there will be a market, stage, bands, seating and a bar at Harbour Parade, Pier Yard and Cross Wall. This will be on all day with a Sea life Parade and spectacular along Harbour Parade at 8:30pm
