Robert, Alistair & Ben (our Bedlington Poodle dog) would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our guests who have stayed with us since we took over The Bay Tree in April and to wish everybody a Happy and Prosperous New Year
Many of you will know that we will be spending the first half of 2016 embarking on a major refurbishment of the Bay Tree, including all guest rooms and ensuites, lounge, restaurant and ground areas to create an even better place to come and stay!
We will be posting regular updates on our blog and on social media with details of progress made and images of our new rooms.
Without giving much away, we are planning on themes for some of our rooms using Broadstairs colourful and varied history, including rooms for Dixon of Dock Green (Jack Warner lived in Broadstairs), Postgate (The Clangers, Ivor the Engine and Bagpuss creator), Pugin (who lived in Ramsgate) and J M W Turner!
Below you can see we’ve been making a start, clearing some of the back-fill next to the current owners’ accommodation and inspecting our beatiful, original Victorian tiles that run throughout our hallway which we intend to fully restore.
We are open to guests until the end of January
We haven’t yet got a definite re-opening date but we intend this to be during May.
