Ramsgate Harbour Lights

Owners have decorated over 40 boats and lit up the UK’s only Royal Harbour in the festive spirit.

A dazzling display can be seen with vessels covered in rows of Christmas lights attached to their masts and flashing ornaments on deck for visitors to enjoy.

This year, the public also have the chance to vote for their favourite boat at many of the local businesses surrounding the harbour and beyond. All proceeds will go to Ramsgate RNLI.

This year, the public also have the chance to vote for their favourite boat at many of the local businesses surrounding the harbour and beyond. All proceeds will go to Ramsgate RNLI.

The event is a joint venture between Royal Temple Yacht Club and Ramsgate Marina Association and is sponsored by Ramsgate Town Council and Ramsgate Town Team. The RNLI crew have also got involved this year and helped out with decorating one of the boats and other volunteers have decorated Steam Tug Cervia and Sundowner to add to the festivities.

Voting strips and donation buckets for the RNLI are available in all the local businesses where you see the poster ‘Come in and vote for your favourite boat.’ Votes will be collected on December 15. Final judging on December 16.
