Bay Tree Broadstairs Refurbishment Week 46

The Bay Tree Broadstairs is currently closed for a major refurbishment and will re-open in October 2017.

We are still reachable by phone 01843 862502 & email for enquiries and future bookings.

Our new flint wall is almost complete.

The French Windows from our patio to our sea-facing restaurant have now been installed.

The view from inside our French Windows out to Stone Bay from our sea-facing restaurant is amazing!

On our driveway, we have been taking steps to lower our drive where it breached the damp course of our library. We will be applying new tarmac to the full length of the drive and our car park.

We have now cleared most of the car park. We are about to rebuild some of the wall around the perimeter of our car park.

We are now working on landscaping the area beyond the car park to the rear of The Bay Tree. Our roofing is now complete and we are about to add the screens to the doors on our first floor.

Our Juliet balconies on our top floor, through which guests will get glimpses of the North Sea are now in place.

Our Laufen bath has now been added to the luxury bathroom adjoining our balcony sea-view room.

We have begun adding our mirrors to our en-suites. They have anti-mist heating pads, shaver sockets, are touch-control and offer a choice of cool white or warm white led lighting.

The owners kitchen is almost complete, save for a little fine tuning on the units and installing sockets and under-unit led lighting. We’re very pleased with the tiling!

In our main kitchen, we have begun installing the extraction canopy above where our main cooker will be positioned.

Ben has been taking time out to enter the Best Rescue category at the RSPCA Thanet Fun Day at Quex Park (Ben is a rescue dog we got from Dogs TrustCanterbury: he was found wandering the streets of Fife).

Stone Bay, directly across from The Bay Tree, is looking gorgeous in the August sunshine!

I must say everything is beginning to look most inviting and lovely. Can’t wait to see it for real. Stone .bay is beautiful.

It is all beginninig to come together very nicely. You both must be so pleased… and relieved although I am sure there are still plenty of problems to resolve.
