The Bay Tree Broadstairs is currently closed for a major refurbishment and will re-open in August 2017.
We regret having to announce to our guests, friends and colleagues that, owing to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to delay our opening until August.
We recently experienced heavy rain: parts of our roof are not yet fully sealed (owing to window extensions, roof windows, oriel windows and new roof tiling) and we suffered some water penetration. We are working to rectify and replace where damage has been incurred but this will unfortunately affect our timescales.
We are still reachable by phone 01843 862502 & email firstname.lastname@example.org for enquiries and future bookings.
We’re now adding glazing to a lot of our windows.
Our balcony sea-view room now has it’s new windows. A lot of our new radiators, such as this tall one, between the two windows, are now in place.
The tiling in our luxury en suite bathroom for our balcony sea-view room is nearly complete making the bathroom ready for it’s furniture.
This is one of our showers in our new bathrooms and wet-rooms.
This is the view from our new triple-aspect sea-view window in Room 10, Maple, of Stone Bay, looking towards North Foreland and Margate.
This is the view from the same Room 10, Maple, window, looking over Stone Bay, Broadstairs towards Viking Bay, Broadstairs.
These are our new, electric, roof-light in our owners accommodation, on the top floor of our extension.
Our library fireplace has now been installed. We have been able to re-use tiles we found earlier on in the re-build in our hearth.
We’re still actively buying unique items of furniture, such as this beautiful full-length mirror.
We’re particularly fond of these pre-loved chairs we’ve re-upholstered which, we think, look fantastic – we will touch-up the legs.
This is an example of our new, but traditional-looking radiators which we are using throughout The Bay Tree.
