Bay Tree Spring Refurbishment

We have been very busy decorating and spring cleaning getting ready for Spring and Summer 2016.

We have a fabulous new-look, sea-facing lounge, where we are up-cycling some beautiful, but comfortable furniture, such as Ercol chairs and winged arm chairs.

We’ve added tables, lamps and pictures, that highlight our Indian heritage, along with unique pictures from our travels, family members and of our wonderful UK railway heritage.

Our hall has now had it’s carpet taken up to reveal our original Victorian floor. We’ve again added some unique pictures and reliefs from India and Egypt plus copies of artwork that would have gone in railway carriages, on our stair-case.

In the dining room (which was our lounge) we have again lifted our carpet, revealing our original wooden floor. We have gone blue with some artwork by co-owner Alistair’s grandmother, plus a picture of Viking Bay from 1827.

All of our bedrooms have now got Samsung Smart TV’s at least 32″ (except Room 2, which has a smaller Samsung Smart TV, to reflect it’s smaller size).

We have also introduced Room 10, a single room overlooking our rear garden and car park, plus Room 11, looking to the side of our hotel, from this season. Both rooms are on our first floor.

Would you like to enjoy a weekend away in Broadstairs and stay at The Bay Tree? Give us a call on 01843 862 502 or check our availability online.

We’d also just like to thank Suzy Nina Interiors for all the help with the interior design.

    Dear Robert & Alistair,
Thanks for posting the photos of the BayTree’s renovations. It looks fantastic! I can’t believe those beautiful floors were hidden all these years. See you in August!
    Happy Spring!
