Bay Tree Broadstairs Refurbishment Week 14

The Bay Tree Broadstairs is currently closed for a major refurbishment and will re-open in May 2017

We are still reachable on 01843 862502 and enquiries@baytreebroadstairs.co.uk

A gentle reminder of our spectacular views over Stone Bay, just a few minutes from the centre of Broadstairs!

This is taken from Room 2, which was one of our single rooms (it will become a double room after our refurbishment) looking into Room 3, which was another single room, where the yellow ladder is. However, Room 3 will transform from being a bedroom into a luxury bathroom for our balcony room. In the distance, you can glimpse the sunshine streaming in from the balcony. In the timber frame is the flush (which will get built into the wall) for the toilet

This is looking from the balcony room, through the newly created door into what was Room 3 and will now be the luxury balcony room bathroom

This is Room 7. In the centre is an original fireplace which we will, of course, be keeping. In the foreground half of a window looking out towards Viking Bay: This window will become almost full length to the floor and will benefit from a ‘Juliet’ balcony to make the most of the view. We will also do the same with the adjacent window at the side of Room 8 next door

Outside, more scaffolding is going up. Our bay tree can clearly be seen and the sea can be glimpsed beyond the shed (which will go) on the left of the picture

We are now busy creating the first (of 2 floors) at our rear: this will form part of the new owners accommodation but will be designed so we can easily convert it back to guest accommodation

Stone Bay with The Bay Tree in the distance (just a little further to the right of the blue house). Ben can also be glimpsed on the right of this picture, which was taken on a slightly cloudier day earlier in the week – although we still love the dramatic sky!
