We have been opening up the window in our sea-view restaurant to make way for French doors onto our sea-view terrace. We think the view is amazing!
le aThe French window can be seen behind the yellow parking sign
On the top floor, above the French window, on the right is the new triple-aspect sea-view turret for Room 10, Maple. This room also benefits from the best view’s in The Bay Tree, looking out to the beach and the cliffs to our left
This is the view inside Room 10 (taken without a fish-eye lens to fit both windows)
This is the view from Room 10! Imagine having this and a triple-aspect sea-view window in your room at The Bay Tree!
This is the sea and cliff view from our balcony looking north towards Margate
This is the sea view from our balcony looking south towards Viking Bay
Downstairs, our luxury library is almost ready for plastering, then decoration and fit out. The picture doesn’t show the window to the left of the fireplace(which will increase in size to match the opposite window). A bespoke bar will fit in the grey alcove (where we have already installed our necessary power and data cables)
This is the fireplace for the library (we’ll change the tile colours to blue)
These are our newly-reupholstered chairs for our library
At the rear, this is one of our Velux Cabirio windows in the owners accommodation on the top floor: the lower window opens vertically so one can stand in the window poking out of the roof!
The Velux Cabio window can be seen on the left of our roof. There will be a second window added
On the other side of Broadstairs, Dumpton Gap – a beautiful cliff-side walk and also a cliff-top walk, from The Bay Tree, via Stone Bay (opposite us), Viking Bay and Louisa Bay
Looking from Dumpton Gap, Broadstairs harbour can just be seen in the distance
This is Louisa Bay, with Viking Bay visible in the distance
Ben has been making the most of the last chance to play on the beach in Margateduring the day earlier (dogs are banned from 10 – 6 from 1st May)
